Puppy Biting
If you have a new puppy, you are probably enjoying the cuddles and kisses, and the warm puppy belly. However, the puppy honeymoon is short lived. At about 15 weeks your puppy is going to start displaying biting tendencies. Your dog isnt being vicious. It is natural for them at this age.
If you want to stop this behavior before it becomes a problem, you need to take some steps, and be consistent. Your puppy is just learning the rules in a new society, and you need to help them.
First of all, they are going to want to roughhouse and play games that enforce rough, biting behavior. Dont do it. It isnt cute when that puppy grows up and growls and wants to wrestle with the neighborhood children. So, dont wrestle, play tug of war, or in any other way encourage aggressive behavior. Take that want to play and direct it into doing things such as obedience training, or playing fetch!
